King Tuts Burial Mask

The idea of the Egyptians for the mask were to recreate king Tutankhamun's face. In the Egyptian society gold was the skin of the gods. So they were treating King Tut as if he were a god when he died.The blue and gold part of the mask was made like that because that is what a head dress would look like that he wore everyday. The snake on its forehead represented a protector of the pharaoh to spit fire at king Tuts enemies.
